Titusville Marina - Titusville, FL
The marina is very convenient to the ICW, located just south of the NASA Railroad Bridge and north of the Max Brewer Bridge. There is a well-marked entry channel on the west side of the ICW leading to the marina basin with mooring balls on each side. We have used both the docks and the moorings. The marina has floating and fixed docks, however it seems that transients will most likely be on the fixed docks. We were assigned a very convenient T-head during one of our visits and used Dockwa to make the reservation. It was a very smooth process with good communication from the marina. The mooring balls are first-come first-served. We chose an open ball to tie up and called the marina to make the appropriate payment. As you enter the marina basin, the fuel dock is to the left on a T-head. In a little bit of an unusual set up, the pump out station is on a separate T-head dock, requiring you to move and retie your lines if you need that service. A pumpout boat is also available on request and services both the marina and mooring field. We did not take advantage of the marina amenities other than the nice bathrooms. The WIFI was weak and the ATT service was ok from the marina, but not so much from the mooring field. There are no restaurants or stores in the immediate vicinity, so provisioning runs will require ground transportation. There is a nice park with boat ramp adjacent to the marina. There were quite a few boats using the ramp during our stay. Guests on the mooring balls can use the public dock to come ashore and make use of the marina facilities. I'm sure this is a good location to view rocket launches from NASA. The Vehicle Assembly Building is visible from the mooring field. There was a launch on one of our visits, but it was late in the morning and we had to be underway. We ended up seeing a bit of the rocket as we transited the Haulover Canal. |
