Harbor East Marina - Baltimore

Harbor East Marina is a very nice place to dock if you are looking for a convenient spot to explore Baltimore. The newer floating docks are in great shape and the staff are very helpful when it's time to tie up. It is a very large marina and most of the slips have finger piers on both sides giving you great access and allows you to tie up on either side. I used Snag-a-Slip to make reservations and the marina responded very quickly with a confirmation. They called the day before to verify ETA and give us our slip assignment. It was nice to know our slip location before arrival.

The Baltimore Harbor can be fairly busy, but the marina is easily accessible as you cruise up the Patapsco River past Fort McHenry and some large commercial piers. Be sure to observe the No Wake zone that begins at Fort McHenry.

There are a number of nice restaurants in the area and Oriole Park at Camden Yards is a walkable distance. The Inner Harbor and downtown Baltimore are a few blocks away.
The setting is different than other marinas on the Bay as you are surrounded by skyscraper office buildings, hotels and residential properties. The constant sounds of a bustling city are always present, but that is a part of the ambiance. Baltimore Harbor area is very walkable and there are walkways all along the waterfront. The Canton and Fells Point areas are not too far away.
The marina offers Onspot Wifi and we have always experienced a strong signal. Television reception and cell service is excellent as you are right downtown.

Being a downtown marina, Harbor East is not your typical resort marina experience, however they offer good security, a nice lounge, laundry and very nice bathroom facilities. You can also get a pump out right at your slip. Fuel is available at the sister property, Inner Harbor Marina, just across the harbor.
