Bluewater Yachting Center - Hampton, VA

This marina is on the northern end of the Norfolk harbor area and across from a long row of warships. It is a large marina with very nice floating docks. They have convenient fuel and pump out services, and there is a modest ships store at the fuel dock with a few boating needs. In the onshore building, you will find bathrooms and showers as well as the laundry and outdoor swimming pool. There is also a restaurant on site and the marina has a water shuttle if you would like to go to downtown Hampton.

Reservations for transient slips can be made through the marina website. They were very quick to respond to my request. There is free WIFI available, although it did not seem to be very robust during our stay. 

The marina is located at the mouth of the Hampton River and very convenient for ICW travelers and boaters heading in or out of the Chesapeake Bay. It is directly across the water from Hampton University with a clock tower that chimes on the hour.

Since we were only here for one night, we were not able to tour the Hampton area, but hope to do that next time we visit.
