Harborwalk Marina, Georgetown, SC
Georgetown is one of our favorite stops and we love Harborwalk Marina. It is a small marina with floating docks and just steps from downtown. There are many restaurants and shops, as well as a nice little boardwalk walk along the harbor. The marina has fuel and pump out services available. The docks are very well protected and don't suffer much from tide and current. The washer and dryer work well if you need to catch up on your laundry. There are only two private bathrooms and they both include a shower. This is a quiet marina with no resort style amenities. If you need to do any provisioning, Independent Seafood is a block away where you can get fresh seafood there. We picked up a few sweets at the Indigo Bakery in town and some other supplies at the Indigo Mercantile which is across the street. Both businesses are owned by the same folks. The Indigo Mercantile is trying to cater to the needs of boaters. You will probably want to walk around town and enjoy some of the historic homes as well as the intriguing live oak trees. |
