Spring Cove Marina - Solomons, MD

This is a very nice marina among many marinas in Solomons, MD. This is a major boating center midway down the Chesapeake Bay and is in a well-protected harbor. The marina has a number of fixed docks and provides some of the lowest priced fuel on the Bay as well as free in-slip pumpouts. There are a number of private bathroom and shower facilities for the slip holders, as well as a couple of laundry centers. The marina has a very nice ships store with a large selection of beer, wine and spirits as well as boating supplies. There is a large pool on the premises with an attached bar that operates during the season and has food available on the weekends. Bicycles are available to ride around the area as well as a courtesy car. The marina uses Dockwa for reservations. We received a welcome email prior to our stay with helpful information. They use OnSpot WIFI which worked pretty well during our stay. Television reception in the area is weak or non-existent, but ATT provided at least three bars for cell service.

The grounds are very nice with large trees providing shade for many picnic tables. Gas and charcoal grills are available for your use. There are a number of restaurants in the area which are walkable. The Calvert Marine Museum is next door and worth a visit.

The Patuxent River Naval Air Station is across the water. You will likely hear and see all types of military aircraft during your stay.
