Grand Dunes Marina, Myrtle Beach, SC

Our stay at Grand Dunes was very short. We arrived a later in the day, close to closing time, and did not have much chance to explore the area. This is a fairly large marina with gated access that serves regular slipholders as well as transient boaters. They have both slips and some long docks available. There are bathroom and shower facilities in the marina office building. Fuel and pumpout services are available.. There is a large breakwater that protects the marina from the traffic on the ICW, however there are two entrances, and you will need to know where you will be docked in order to choose the correct entrance. We did not have much time to explore the area, but there is a Ruth's Chris Steak House on the property and some other stores and restaurants a short distance away and across the highway. Free WIFI is available. This marina requires that you provide them with a copy of your insurance. We have not experienced this at any other marinas, but we knew of the requirement in advance and had an extra copy available for them.
