Ocean Club Marina - Port Canaveral, FL
This marina is not technically along the ICW, but it is very convenient if you are cruising on the outside, north or south, and need a stopover. Coming in from the Atlantic Ocean, you cruise through the Port Canaveral Inlet and head west for a couple of miles. The marina is on the south side of the channel right before the bridge and the Cape Canaveral lock. The marina has nice floating docks, and has fuel service at the fuel dock located on the T-head adjacent to the channel. Free pump outs are available in your slip. There is a nice pool with a complimentary grill adjacent to the marina office. Free WIFI is available throughout the property. Restrooms with showers are nice and have code access. Same with the laundry facilities. If you happen to be lucky enough to have timed it right. this could be a great place to observe a launch from Cape Canaveral. The launch gantries are visible as you come in the inlet as is the very large Vehicle Assembly Building. The ICW can be accessed by heading west out of the marina. Depending on your air draft, you may need to time a bridge opening and then go through the Cape Canaveral lock. After the lock, you will need to transit the 5 Nautical Mile Cape Canaveral Barge Canal before getting to the ICW in the Indian River. |
