Bahia Mar Marina - Fort Lauderdale, FL

This is a very large marina conveniently located right on the ICW north of the Port Everglades Inlet. The large floating docks  are home to boats of all sizes, center consoles to very large super yachts. A great place for "boat watching." The staff is excellent and attends to your needs efficiently. We were directed to our slip and received excellent help docking and tying up the boat. As luck would have it, it started raining just as we approached the marina, but that was the last rain we saw for six days.

Reservations were requested through the form on their website and confirmation was received promptly. As this is Fort Lauderdale, be advised that slip fees are higher than many marinas. We had mechanical issues during our stay and had to extend for a few nights. This was not a problem and the marina staff was very accommodating. 

The marina is divided into two basins with a hotel, parking and office complex between them. There is an excellent ships store on the grounds and the marina guests can use the bathhouse, laundry and pool in a building attached to the hotel. In slip pump out service is available. Arrangements can be made with the marina office and someone will come by and take care of it for you. Complimentary WIFI is available and worked fine for us during our visit. Marine services are quite accessible here if you need work done on your boat during your stay.

The famed Fort Lauderdale beach is directly across the street and many shops and restaurants are just a few blocks away, so there is plenty to keep you occupied. The town of Fort Lauderdale with more restaurants and shops is about 4 miles away and can be reached by Uber.
