River Forest Marina, Belhaven, NC

This is a small, but very nice marina in the popular boating destination of Belhaven. The marina is a owned by a group of local investors and includes a manor house on the grounds that is frequently booked for weddings and events. Reservations can be made through Dockwa, an app I like very much and use for reservations at many marinas. They have very convenient fuel and pumpout services available on the fixed docks. It is nice not to tie up twice when fueling is required. Not much tide variation here, so the fixed docks are not too inconvenient. There are two bathroom/shower combos, but that shouldn't be a problem since it is a small marina. A complimentary laundry is located in the manor house with four washers and four dryers. The marina also has a few golf carts for the use of the guests. Various stores can be easily reached for provisioning. There is a large Ace Hardware in the main part of town, about a half mile away. A grocery store is a little further down the road. The marina has free WIFI and worked well for us during our stay. TV reception was pretty good as well. Belhaven is a good and convenient stopover between Coinjock and Beaufort or Morehead City for those that can cruise those distances in a day.
