MV Encore
We are Bob and Martha Frampton and this is our 2022 Prestige 460 purchased in May of 2023. She is a 46 foot cruiser with a flybridge, two staterooms, two heads, salon and galley. She is powered by two Volvo Penta IPS 600 engines running 435 hp each. This boat replaces our Prestige 420S that we had for 5 years. It has a joystick in the cockpit, in addition to helm stations inside and on the flybridge, and makes docking a much easier task. We are retired from many years in music and arts education and administration, and have spent the last six seasons cruising the Chesapeake Bay searching for all the pleasure being out on the water can provide. We have met many wonderful people, experienced many "adventurous" moments, and learned so much along the way. We have made two trips down ICW in the past four years . Our first trip took place during the fall and winter of 2020-21 and included a few cruises up and down the east coast of Florida. In the fall of 2023 we headed south again and made our way to the Bahamas during February and March of 2024. Our home when not out on the water is the Osprey Point Marina in Rock Hall on the Eastern Shore of Maryland. Rock Hall is very small town that is extremely active on summer weekends and eerily quiet during the winter months. Boaters share the town and the adjacent waterways with the local fishermen. |
Chesapeake Bay AnchoragesThere are so many places to go, but of course we have found some favorites. We carry a stand up paddleboard and small dinghy to help us explore and enjoy the locations we visit.

Marinas we have visitedOn one of our first trips (an Escapade with Chesapeake Yacht Center) we ended up at the Tides Inn Marina in Virginia off the Rappahanock River. It is a beautiful resort and we had a great time with the CYC gang and a number of Prestige Yacht owners.
